Hanging out before bed one evening Isaiah wanted to play more pumpkins.
Out came some shapes and out came the matching pumpkins.
He really enjoyed this little Fall shape game

We’ve looked at letters at a glance the last few days.
I didn’t think too much of it
But today he totally surprised me by being able to identify a few!!!
way to go Isaiah
Isaiah (28 months)
it was a little chilly but we ventured out as it had finally stopped raining…
it was still a bit wet…. but we managed to try a few things out before heading back home
Today we created some creatures with brown handprints.
We used one had to make a kitty and 2 hands to make a spider.
1. Isaiah colored his orange paper background
2. We painted his hands with brown paint (we didn’t have black). We did one by itself one one side of the paper and then 2 sideways with the palms touching to make a spider
3. I cut out a little black head for his kitty and he glued that on. Then he glued on eyes for the cat and eyes for the spider. Once that was done he glued on some foam candycorn shapes just to add a bit more color.
and … ALL done
We are learning our shapes and learning our colors.
We’ve had this bingo game since Isaiah was just a baby.
I thought we’d take it out and give it a try today.
He did pretty good. We didn’t really play bingo
Instead i had him show me different shapes and colors
He had a BLAST!
we will definately be playing this one again
We love the river.
It is so beautiful, so peaceful, so serene.
What a beautiful setting to do some fall photos…..
ENJOY
We waited until his paper pumpkin was all dry.
Once it was dry i cut out eyes, nose and mouth for his pumpkin to turn it into a Jack-O-Lantern
He glued on all the pieces where he thought they should go
We started painting a pumpkin today.
This craft was really simple:
1. Cut out a paper pumpkin
2. Paint with orange and yellow
This was a really simple Halloween craft.
All we did was take an empty toilet paper roll.
I drew a face on it, then Isaiah colored on it with green/black markers.
Lastly, we put little eyes on and a sparkly green pipecleaner to make the little neck stumps
just learning and practicing some shapes using his aquadoodle
We always forget we have this, so when we use it its like and fun toy
Triangle:
Our Speech worker suggested this activity to do with Isaiah.
She said to get a big drawsting bag and fill it with toys.
I’m to have Isaiah practice taking “one” out at a time.
We say what it is and practice having all the animals say “Hi” and “bye” with each other
We went to our fav litte bible thrift store and found a ton of little stuffy animals for $1 so this was an easy game for us to play… and you’ll tell by the photos that Isaiah was having a ball!
There is one prized thing that makes shopping at the new Coopers right by our house fun….
Isaiah knows that store has a green car and that is what he wants and where he wants to be!
It makes running to the store a whole lot easier though!
We had a playdate with one of Isaiah’s friends.
She loves princesses, so therefore has a lot of pink and princess toys.
She was always off and running everytime I went to take a photo,
unfortunately, Isaiah was in primetime photo taking opt LOL
On our way home today we just had to stop and play in a few leaves that were begining to fall
I love fall, a lot of people like spring or even summer, but fall has always been my favorite.
To me i’ve always felt revived and fresh (perhaps the back to school programmed as a kid).
though everything seems to die, to me everything changes, we see the beauty in the changes all around us.
To me its not a sad change, i don’t konw what to say, just i really love fall
We went to take some fall photos outside
I just love fall. It’s such a beautiful time of year.
Everything is changing, and look at all the colors around us.
Isaiah had fun running and skipping along.
Enjoy
Today we were pretending we were different animals……
Guess what one this was….. Meow…. Meow….
I’m a CAT!
and then “veet…. veet”
I’m a FROG
WOW is all i have to say
WOW… WOW…WOW
our little man sure knows how to GROW
the first photo was taken Oct 31, 2008 and the second Oct 19, 2009… so a year.
What a difference a year can make!
(note: wearing the same onsie and same leggings)
(another note: he will NOT be wearing either NEXT year LOL)
(16.5months)
(28 months)
Today we did a cut and paste jack o lantern.
It was pretty simple
1. Color his pumpkin
2. Paste on the eyes/nose/mouth where they are supposed to go.
This was pretty easy because where they were supposed be glued, each had a tracing shape.
So while doing this we also matched up shapes! bingo! 2 activities all in one!
Today we decided to put aside handprints and start working on some footprints!
1. To start off he just colored his background paper with markers.
2. Then we traced his foot, cut it out and glued it onto his background paper. This footprint makes up the ghost.
3. Then we glued on arms and eyes.
4. Lastly, we glued on a few foam shapes (while talking about shapes and colors of each shape).
and all done:
Just had to share a few NON Isaiah photos that showcase the Corn Maze:
oops… I lied…. there is one Isaiah pic
Ok… pardon for the HUGE post here… but we took a ton of photos and i wanted to include a variety of what we did and saw.
Daddy was away hunting and it poured most of the weekend. Finally the clouds parted on Sunday morning so at noon we decided to try it out (though ready for puddles!)
We had a grand time and so glad we went! We will definately be coming back next year!
To anyone thats never been…. make sure to check it out!
