Lifes Little Miracles

Welcome to Our World… Enjoy the Ride

My Sleepy Little Skeleton

after the venture of trick or treating (not to mention an afternoon of golfing) we had one tired little skeleton on our hands!

after our trick or treating we went over to our friends house forĀ  the mommies and daddies to have popcorn and a movie

Isaiah was out almost as soon as his head hit Mommy’s chest :)

tRick or tReat 2009

Isaiah really really enjoyed trick or treating this year.

He would get so excited when something would go into his little pumpkin haha

He did good he walked around for about 45mins. it wasn’t raining and it wasn’t cold.

He found these glasses that Mommy was going to wear… and declared them his own LOL

Castle Fun Park – Halloween Golf

Daddy had to do an hour of work at Castle Fun Park so we used a free pass we had to let Isaiah golf.

Of course he wanted to golf in his “Rar Rar” costume! so it was dino golf!!

He LOVED it. He had to do EVERY hole about 6times and was really REALLY sad at the 18th hole where it eats the ball.

He even managed to get a HOLE in ONE!!!!

how many 2 year olds can manage that??

holding his free pass all ready to go:

He got to pick if he wanted to do “jungle golf” or “deep sea golf” and he picked the deep sea this time.

heading down the stairs

He says…. this is how you do it… watch and learn!

This was his “Hole in One” hole:

and some game fun…. it only takes about $3 to make him happy!

Budding Baker: Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

This is the first time I’ve tried this, and I must admit they were REALLY good!

  1. Pick out all the pumpkin seeds out of the pumpkin pulp.
  2. Wash the seeds in warm water to get rid of any additional pulp (and pumpkin slime)
  3. We spread out the seeds on a cookie sheet layered with paper towel (to dry them out) and left overnigt
  4. The following day i put all the seeds into a little container. We added a litle bit of oil (and stirred all the pumpkin seeds around to ensure all had a light coating. Then it was up to Isaiah to scoop them out onto a greased cookie sheet
  5. We then added a sprinkling of seasoning salt to the seeds on the cookie sheet and popped them into the oven
  6. we backed them at 400F for about 20mins until they looked golden brown.

We both tasted some after they cooled…. I wasn’t the only one loving the pumpkin seeds….

Isaiah was devouring his taste test and asking for MORE!

We’ll do these again next year for sure!!

FVCDC Playgroup – Oct 29/09

Today at playgroup was a halloween party!

The kids were supposed to come dressed up in costumes

Halloween treats, cookies and cupcakes were served at snacktime.

Isaiah wore last year’s halloween costume to the party.

He was sure a HIT with all the Mommy’s and staff :)

Everyone *heart* our little skunk :)

The time has come for pumpkin carving.

We handled the task of cleaning out the pumpkins,

Now we move on to think of what we’ll carve on the pumpkins.

Isaiah did a halloween “meow” pumpkin

here he is trying to help (though Mommy did all the cutting for him)

The Big Pumpkin Scoop Out

The last 2 years i’ve tried to get him to help with the task of scooping out the pumpkin pulp

Both years it was way to icky for him to want to put his hands (or a spoon) into a pumpkin

This year though he seemed pretty excited about the whole idea of helping.

We got a neat little pumpkin carving set from the dollar store complete with a little orange pumpkin scoop

I believe that was the jackpot for us!

This year he LOVED it!

Which dalmatian is Mine?

we scored this lot of happy meal dalmations from our favorite missions store.

We paid something like 50 cents for all these little guys.

My litle dalmatian loves them… not that he is biased or anything…..

…. so….

what one is mine?

Craft of the Day – Wax Crayon Painting

I remember doing this exact same craft way back when I was in kindergarten!

some good things never change!

1. use wax crayons to draw a picture on a piece of construction paper

2. paint with black paint over the whole paper (we added a little bit of water to make the paint a bit more runny)

you’ll magically see the crayon drawing appear even though the paint was painted overtop!

COOL!

we seem to always take a photo right here on the turtle :)

we found a skunk running around at the zoo!

River Walk with the B-Boys

I love hanging out with my best buddies!

My Mommy has a great time chatting with their Mommy and watching the 3 of us play

Today we went to the river.

It was such a beautiful, sunny fall day.

We had fun throwing rocks into the water, trying to pick up big walks, even exploring our own little path!

Can’t wait until we can get out and do it again!

here are my friends and their Mommy:

and we say bye to my friends until next time:

The Traditional Trip to the AppleBarn

we went last year with friends from our playgroup as well…..

they look so small compared to this year!

(Isaiah and friends Oct 2009)

We had so much fun, playing at the mini park, petting the bunnies and the goats, the hayride, and who could forget the pumpkin patch! I’m sure we’ll go again next year too

He did NOT like the apple and pumpkin canons, poor guy

Not too happy to be sitting on some pumpkins

Library Park in the Fall

what is a trip to the library without glancing out at the ducks.

it was a little wet and a little gray

what a beauty all those colors are especially on such an otherwise glum looking day
